CAEG signs memorandum of strategic cooperation agreement with International Choral Alliance

On Sept 8, Li Jinsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. (CAEG), signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation agreement with Guo Liming, President of the International Choral Alliance, at the headquarters of the International Choral Alliance in the Palacete Dos Condes de Monte Real in Lisbon, Portugal. The agreement was made in preparation for hosting the World Choral Symposium in China in 2026. This signing represents another significant achievement in further strengthening cooperation between the two parties, promoting "resource sharing, complementary advantages, brand interaction, and mutual development."



The signing ceremony was attended by Chen Xiaoling, Minister Counselor, Xia Wanqing, Director, from the Chinese Embassy in Portugal, Alberto Laplaine Guimarães, the Secretary-General of  Lisbon City Council, and Cai Wenxian, President of the Portugal China Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in 1982, the International Choral Alliance is the official representative of the Music Council of UNESCO and a professional organization in the international choral community. With over a hundred national choral association members, the International Choral Alliance influences hundreds of millions of choral singers worldwide and holds broad international representation. The International Choral Alliance is a long-term strategic partner of the China International Choral Festival, which has grown into the largest international choral festival in the Asia-Pacific region.


The signing of the memorandum of cooperation marks another milestone in the long-term collaboration between the two entities. Given their profound global influence, CAEG and the International Choral Alliance will leverage their respective strengths to enhance the international impact of their brands through the joint hosting of the 18th China International Choral Festival and World Choral Symposium in 2026. This collaboration aims to boost the international influence of both parties' brands and facilitate their development. Additionally, it seeks to deepen mutual understanding among people from different countries through music, arts, and culture, promote the development of choral arts and education worldwide, foster cultural exchange, and enhance friendship.
