Sailing with Heritage: A Themed Voyage of Lingnan's Intangible Culture

On December 25, 2025, Adora Cruises'"Adora Mediterranea" splendidly set sail from Nansha Port in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, marking the grand commencement of its 2025-2026 Guangzhou season. This season will span several major traditional holidays including New Year's Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival in 2026.

To enrich the cultural and travel experience onboard, CAEG and Adora Cruises announced a partnership for this season, launching the "Intangible Cultural Heritage on the Waves" themed series. Multiple inheritors of Lingnan-region intangible cultural heritage, such as Cantonese Opera, Wing Chun, Cantonese music, Canton painted porcelain, and Foshan woodblock New Year pictures will come aboard the "Mediterranea". Through diverse demonstrations and interactive experiences, they will allow guests to deeply appreciate the unique charm of Lingnan culture during their maritime journey.




An Art Ship: Colorful Cantonese Heritage Experiences

This themed season will offer guests a rich array of Cantonese intangible cultural heritage experiences, focusing on both performance-based and hands-on craft activities. Guests can watch the balanced strength and grace of Wing Chun demonstrations, enjoy selected classics of Cantonese Opera, and listen to traditional Cantonese music pieces. They can also participate in interactive experiences like trying Wing Chun "workplace exercises," learning the flowing sleeve movements of Cantonese Opera, and joining "Maritime Lingnan Music Workshops".




A Warm Winter Journey for the Greater Bay Area

The "Mediterranea" officially began its Guangzhou season on December 7, visiting popular Vietnamese destinations like Da Nang, Ha Long Bay, and Hue. This season features special holiday voyages across Christmas, New Year's Day, the Spring Festival, and the Lantern Festival. For instance, guests on the New Year's Eve voyage departing on December 29 can enjoy the majestic scenery of Ha Long Bay while participating in special onboard celebrations, welcoming the arrival of 2026 in a ceremoniousway.
